Passport

***Writing tip: Give a poem some personality. Write the first stanza in the personality of one character, write the second in the personality of another, then use the third stanza to list what they have in common.***

Ironed clothes folded in neat packages
A book new, no cover bent
Loaded into a square, tan suitcase

Sundress, t-shirts, make-up and body spray
Novels with bent spines and folded pages
Shoved into a pink patterned suitcase

The passport photo hidden away
In a black backpack or neon purse
Awaits its journey for better, or for worse.
